♥️ Get Your Heart Healthy Again

Heartbreak syndrome I s #real It’s thought that a surge of stress hormones, such as adrenaline, might damage the hearts of some people for a short time. How these hormones might hurt the heart or whether something else is the cause isn’t completely clear.

The true happenings is its a temporary squeezing of the large or small arteries of the heart may play a role in the development of broken heart syndrome. People who have broken heart syndrome also may have a change in the structure of the heart muscle.

An intense physical or emotional event often comes before broken heart syndrome. Anything that causes a strong emotional reaction may trigger the condition. Examples include:
Causes that could trigger broken heart syndrome could be from:
🤒 🤧 Sudden illness or a major surgery 🦴 Sudden broken bone.

💔 Death of a loved one or close loss, or an 😡 argument.

You may be curious what the symptoms of a broken heart syndrome are; well they can mimic those of a heart attack arrow down 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

♥️It briefly interrupts the way the heart pumps blood. The rest of the heart continues to work as usual. Sometimes the heart contracts more forcefully.

♥️Reported by % of patients who presented with symptoms:

♥️Loss of appetite (43%)
♥️Disrupted sleep routine causing tiredness/exhaustion (40%)
♥️Restlessness (30%)
♥️Physical aches (22%)
♥️Nausea (21%)
♥️Heart palpitations (17%)
♥️Chest pain (16%)
♥️Problems with digestive system (13%)

So in conclusion, my recommendations to ANY of you experiencing any out of the normal of the above, PLEASE see your doctor. You just may be actually doing more harm than good to your ♥️#heart and as I thoroughly educated one of my patients today who is the exact same age as myself, “you only have one heart and it NEVER hurts to be more informed than your doctor may think HE/SHE is! Demand they fix the blockage instead of trying to give you a pill and send you on your way. If you had a heart attack 8 days ago at 54, then they need to make sure that second blockage gets stented THIS time BEFORE they release you “. I also told my patient that I’m picking up tomorrow as an extra shift which i NEVER do, just to advocate for this patient and continue to make sure they get the care they deserve.

They thanked me and said, “they’ve NEVER ever had a hospital nurse like me and all these twenty something nurses could learn a lot from you” we laughed together and I responded with “oh believe me I KNOW, but they don’t wanna learn from 15year plus 54yr old nurse, that’s why I’m transferring to the flex team here “ they laughed again and we agreed that tomorrow I will provide more education on how to be their own advocate and actually showed them how to get into their medical chart and have answers that I didn’t cover and the ER doctors AND RNs failed miserably to explain the tests, scans etc she had and never explained what the results even meant.
I have serious concerns for OUR own folks down here in Florida, never really believed race (ism) was still out here. Oh but baby believe me, I SEE IT HERE IN THE SOUTH in healthcare it’s just so so so sad and these are highly educated people one family member who is a nurse practitioner even walked me through the proper way to collect blood cultures today when a charge nurse had NO IDEA! Just did them any ol way. It was mind blowing.

Anyhoo, #themoreyouknow the better the world will be ♥️
