New tire ✅, oil change, ✅ onto his next chapter ✅✅✅
I simply can not believe it, the last 3 years our boy has been growing up and learning how to be on his own, in a strange and beautiful land. For the last 3 years, he had broken out of his shell as a boy, our little “Pooh Poo”, our young prince, flourished into his roll as a man, our king.

I have watched him as a child not knowing how to cope with change and retreat to his safe space under a desk in kindergarten and then into his safe space in his room under the safety of his Mario blanket (which he has with him to this day) whilst sucking his two fingers and not wanting to engage with others unless it was at the park or in his teens, with a group of like minded boys playing a YuGiOh tournament. Not able to sit in church because it was too loud and most Sunday’s sitting in the darkened Sunday school room with his video games but still able to feel and hear the Word of the Lord, And into a young man moving 2,000 miles away to college not knowing a soul and taking life without fear trusting his God, his Dad, his Mom and his Papa & Gama words and encouragement.

Itasca quickly became his family, my family. After a emotional goodbye yesterday and the support and encouragement of all of his professors and dorm supervisors we packed up his dorm and donated the barely worn clothes to a local family running the hotel we stayed at, we are on our way in the morning to North Dakota and he enters the next chapter of his journey!
I will truly miss this magical land, the home of my all time favorite movie actress and favorite movie The Wizard of Oz’s, Judy Garland. Minnesota may be the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”, but for me as a Mom, it’s will always be the land of infinite possibilities!

And as I conclude this post I will leave you with a quote from our son,
“I finally learned how to learn”
And so precious hearts, always find a way to push through your challenges turn your obstacles into opportunities! And go through embracing each moment and remember There is no place like home!
