It’s In The Eye

Food for thought 3/8/24

Yesterday on my typical walk on my lunch break around the Jax River Walk, my attention was focused on this beautiful white bird against the backdrop of the low tide of the San Marco area and this old bridge.

I starred because as I looked with my natural eye, it looked dirty and I could see all the trash from humans that once so carelessly tossed it not knowing eventually wildlife would encounter their filth and have to navigate around it so they don’t choke on a straw or piece of plastic. The image was clear through my eye, but when I took two of the exact same pictures the pictures appeared different.

One was clear and showed the trash of what others left behind while the other picture was blurry and the trash not as easily visible.

It occurred to me that many people could see the same thing and think or feel two very different opinions and yet not one considers the other’s opinion “wrong “.

Just because you think one way about a person or a situation, and they think another does not make either of the me wrong or right. My mother used to say, “Debbie, it’s really just OK to agree to disagree “

We may not always agree with others in life and let me assure you, THAT ITS OK. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions it’s how we react to their opinion that matters. Keep an open mind in all your issues, because they are not as bad or terrible as you may think…💗
